Will Beasley is a producer/audio engineer from Northeastern North Carolina. Starting out his career as an assistant engineer for producers Brian McTernan (Salad Days) and Paul Leavitt (Valencia), Will has worked with bands such as Emarosa, Turnstile, Handguns, and Dryjacket. He takes a hands-on approach to recording and pushes clients to reach their full potential while in the studio. Currently Will is operating out of his studio in Currituck, North Carolina. In a quiet, scenic area just steps from the waterfront, it is a very comfortable location to make a record. Below is an interview where we get to know some of his thoughts on making records. What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen in the studio?  If you mean a crazy display of talent I’ve seen then I’d say a “holy shit” moment was getting to track Daniel Fang from Turnstile/Angel Dust. I think that was one of the first times I literally didn’t have to edit a single drum hit haha. He’s one of those dudes where I feel like it wouldn’t matter if he was playing the most horrible drum kit in the worst room ever it would still sound good just because he hits so well! On this episode we change things up a bit. Instead of getting to know a producer we turn to an artist who has continually made great music to give some insight on the thoughts that go into it. I am pleased to say we got to turn to Riley Breckenridge of Thrice a band who continually has pushed creative boundaries and made great music. I hope you like what you hear as much as I did.
