I started my path to production and mixing the same way as a lot of kids - 18 years old, in a heavy metal band. The heavy metal band booked some time at a now defunct project studio (this is 2006 everybody - Cakewalk SONAR 3 on a Windows 2000 PC!!!) being run by a local engineer with an intern. A light went off in my head - "This intern is as clueless as me - maybe even more!"

After securing an internship, and already having a cursory knowledge of how to run the studio software due to my uncle buying me a light version of Cakewalk (the 8 track software Guitar Tracks) 2 years prior, I was a shoe in for staff engineer when the head engineer moved to a different state. There I was, 18 years old, after 32 hours of interning, being handed the keys to the studio by the owner. I met a lot of really cool people there, and I learned as much about myself as I did about making records.

Some of those cool people that I met ended up introducing me to some other cool people, who in turned asked me if I wanted to play piano and other things with keys in their band. It was a group of musicians called Lydia, and upon joining the band I inadvertently signed up for what has turned out to be one of the most continuously wild and rewarding times of my life. The experiences gained and lessons learned both on the road and in the studio have shaped my perspective on both life and music in ways that I never would have been able to imagine, and to this day have a hard time explaining.

Fast forward to the present day, and I'm still at it, more passionate and driven than ever. I live for the moment when I hear a song or a sound that makes me stop what I'm doing and wonder what somebody must have been going through to come up with it. I want every song I have anything to do with make somebody feel something they've never felt before, or feel MORE than they've felt before. I'm completely unconcerned with genres, scenes (awful words) or anything else that gets in the way of the vibe you're trying to create.
My job as a producer, mixer, and writer is to be there with you every step of the way to make sure that your audience connects with your art with the same amount of passion that you do.
